Pick up copy of your phone directory, go through the local yellow pages and start calling up the local dealers to see what each has available with him. There is also a (partial) listing of arms & ammo dealers under the yellow pages section here...

In Mumbai (If available)
condition: okey to almost new
PPK .22 LR : 3.5 to 6,5 lacs
" .32 ACP : 4 to 8 lacs
PPK/S 32 ACP : 5 to 9 lacs (10 lacs for an S.S. frame)
" .22 LR : 4.5 to 6.5 lacs
Colt Cobra .32 Long: 4 to 7.5 lacs
S&W .32 Long : 5 to 7.5 lacs
Colt D'back .22 LR : 3 to 4.5 lacs (6") slightly more for 4" even more for original nickel
Browning/F.N./Colt/Czech/Llama pistol etc.(32/380): 3.5 to 5 lacs (usually reconditioned)

Just to give you a fair idea of the prevailing prices in the Financial Capitol of India. It sure is a rip off but people still buy them. One advantage is that people come from all over the country to sell their merchandise hoping to get a better price.

I suggest we all use a common thread like the one created by Ashar sir, to ask all questions related to the market prices of handguns, instead of creating multiple threads.

guys pardon my less knowledge

but isnt it true that u cant buy an imported gun as there is a ban on imported guns?

or are we talking abt the guns imported before the ban of 1986 being sold at 8-10 L in india while their original cost wont be more than 50-60K for a beauty like beretta 92FS.
