Hi All,

Most of you may or may not have heard about Kodava Family
Field Hockey Event organised by different Kodava families every year. This tournament is organised during Summer Holiday' season, which had entered Limca Book of India Record Very Earliest and Guinness Book Of World Record Last Year for highest number of team participation. This is 25th year Silver Jubilee Year. This year event is organised by Muddanda family.

In between, During corona season and During natural disaster hit Coorg/Kodagu ,tournament had to halt for 3 years.

This is the very big unconventional Field Hockey event , With very conventional international Hockey rules held in the world, Where different Kodava clans or families come together to participate in this tournament kids,ladies, men, boys, girls, old, young. almost every one. Even though match is held for a month and more, It becomes interesting to watch when it reaches pre quarter final round, As only strongest teams reach to top. Alternate year champion team replaced by new champions.

Over the past several years of this largest Kodava Family Field Hockey tournament Indias top most teams and players were also participated in a friendly match during opening ceremonies and final match of the events.
