I see two revolvers , both no doubt S&M . I love the one with the wooden grip. Great weapons and lucky you.

That is a beautiful little revolver, nbk3y7k!

Can you tell us a little more about your experience with it.

Thanks. Indeed a great revolver. Fired few rounds at Range. Super precision on target with both single and double action.

Absolutely a beaut! Rajiv, when are you at the range? I'm at the 10 meter range almost every Sunday morning.

J frames are small and are a bit difficult to get a 'confirmed' grip on the butt... Get a Tyler 'T' Grip for this beauty...

Here is mine model 31-1 mounted with Tyler 'T' Grip and Laser...

Congrats on the purchase.

Don't know how common it is in india, but here in the USofA it's not unusual to use .32 ACP in revolvers chambered for the 32 S&W Long. Don't do it for Top breaks or revolvers chambered for .32 S&W shorts. There's just enough rim so the ACP cartridge doesn't side all the way into the cylinder

Wonderful revolver. I especially like the Pachmayr grips. I have the same S&W Model 31-1, 3" with the wood grips. I heard that quite a few were imported as one large batch in the late 1970s or early 80s. My weapons serial number falls in the (H1349xx) range. In India I have come across or heard of a few others in this serial number range. Some of them are with a 2" BBL. It would be an interesting study if everyone here owning similar weapons would post their serial numbers with the last 2 digits shown as xx.
