16 bore S/S Dbbl

Post by 3:10 » Mon Oct 09, 2017 6:49 pm

In my search for a dbbl I have found a 16 bore dbbl seems to be in good shape (I'll post a pic once I figure out how ) . My question is 1. Is 16 bore ammo hard to come by and how much should it cost. 2. How much can I pay for it considering it's in good condition. 3.what do I have to look out for in usage when compared to a 12 bore. Gracias.

Hello 3:10, we cross paths again. A photo or two may get you some expert help. A 16 gauge cartridge costs around Rs.250 when I last checked locally.

Seriously! I thought Shaktiman/ Dwaraka Arms of Bellary produced 16-bore cartridges. Do they cost the same?

As CP said, do post a few photos. You can attach them to your post.

Correct, those were Shaktimans and prices raised in the name of limited availability. Haven't checked in the cities.

Flash hiders on a double barrel shotgun? Interesting. Do you mean ported? Is it possible to post photos?

Since seller is not in a condition to negotiate give the least quote as the ammo is scarse.

I had seen very less quantity of 16 bore ammo .

I had ordered some 20 cartridge which cost 200+i forgot the price.

If you are keen about 16 bore gun then only go for it.

For ammo u can use 12 bore cartridge as a refill alternative to 16 bore spent case

Are you by any chance suggesting here that he can use 12-bore cartridges in a 16-bore gun? If that is the case , he can seriously injure himself or may even kill himself. That the gun would be busted is less of a concern here.

No sir .

Since 16 bore cartridge is scares he could get some finger countable carts.

After firing them he could use the powder and primer from a 12 bore ammo and he could refil the 16 bore spent shell .

its better to avoid options. Except the legality issue ( Even if a person can manage that Part) most of us is not trained for reloading plus the reloading equipment.
If its a passion for that particular weapon then it is all different matter otherwise good weapon with a regular Cal. is more handy.
