My new NX100 polaris RF carbin

Post by sairamrao » Sun Feb 14, 2016 11:46 pm

hello friends..
after waiting for 14 days i received my new precihole nx100 polaris rf(rust free) carbin version yesterday.
i brought it from http://www.10kya.com for rs 14660/-(going to get 15% cash back),i really like this site.i brought SP50 RF taurus before from this site.
now about the gun,
LOOKS:-
i added a 4x28 scope on the gun.
the gun looks cool 8) ,when compared to my old IHP 35.i brought this camo butt version.i think this is the most costly product from precihole.
i'm attaching the pics of my new gun along with old IHP35. :)
FEEL:-
feel of the gun is so good,i really like it.
Performance:-
as you guys know, polaris is a 0.177 caliber gun.
i did not check any groupings yet.i fired like 100 shot till now, shots are powerful and accurate too.
but the cocking force is very much,i.e i put lot of effort in cocking the gun, like twice the effort than IHP35.may be because of the gun is new.but even after 100+ shots still same.it's too hard to cock.IHP 35(replaced with precihole spring) is much easy to cock.
i like the auto safety feature :o on the gun but trigger is also hard  (not too hard),i know it's adjustable.
now about that fancy cocking aid:-
yes,it is helpful in cocking the gun, without coking aid,it's very hard to cock as the barrel is short when compared to long barrel version.
do not buy karbin version if you are not going to mount a scope, coz when you want to mount cocking aid,you have to remove front site.if you don't remove front site,it's hard to cock, that you will feel it as punishment.
you guys might think i'm week, but i'm not that week :) .i can lift and throw 40kgs with single hand and 60 kgs easily with both hands.
i really like the gun for now,but we will see how it will perform in the future.
i will update this thread after 10days,when i complete shooting my 500 pellet tin.
i will also be doing a video review on SP50 taurus,nx100 polaris and IHP35.
thank you guys.these are my views on nx100 polaris,if something is wrong please forgive me.

Yes, it has front site. As I mounted scope on the gun, I removed the front site.

hi friends..
i have completed my 500 pellet tin and 200 more .sorry for the delay.
as i'm busy with my sister's marriage arrangements,it took some time to write an update.
observations
the gun performance is now fine tuned.the groupings became tighter now.
gun cocking is bit smooth now.
cocking effort is also a bit reduced.
(y) most impotent is,trigger is very nice now.i felt it's harder than IHP35 earlier, but now ihp35 trigger feels harder and not that crisp as nx.
heavy(8-11 gn) pellets gives good accuracy at long distances as they are less effected by the wind and they retain more energy.
from 10yrds i got goups less than 1" :D .
but still im feeling like NX giving more recoil than IHP,may be because NX is more powerful and less used.
i shot around 6k pellets with my IHP.
i'm sorry i don't have any pictures or video of grouping but sure i will add in future.
conclusion
i see good amount of improvement in the rifle.
it might get improved more with usage.
it's a very nice rifle to have.
will give another update after a month.
till then

I suggest getting a scope stop if you want to mount it on the existing dove rail. Else the scope will slide to the back. You also invest in a 11mm to 20mm picatiny rail mount.

@sairamrao thanks for the precise review - it's very helpful. How is the muzzle weight mounted on the barrel - is it a thread?

What sort (material and technology) of RF coating is done on Precihole AR ? Why this method is not so popular. It seems very few foreign air rifles are sold with RF coating.

It is mounted with a small hex screw. No threading at all.just insert from the front and tighten the screw.
Sorry for the very late reply.

I'm so sorry, I don't know what materials they use for coating. Yeah, very few foreign guns sold with RF coating. But the coating is nice, and keeps the rifle free from rusting.
