Nice 45. Can you own a handgun in Canada? I also like 45acp's. Carrie a Colt Defender in 45 most of the time.

Those are very nice photos and that is a very nice 1911.
Could you give us a subjective evaluation and a range report?
I have been favorably disposed towards the Ruger 1911 but have yet to see one in a gun store.
They are very popular and disappear as fast as they hit the shelves.

Not to derail the OP.Recently saw a Turkish 1911 called Girsan.It looked reasonably well made and priced quite reasonably even for Georgia. I think someone is pushing them in USA. May be XL,Baljit and Herb can take a look at it?

Yes, we are allowed to own handguns in Canada, it is classified as restricted and licensing and acquisition process is more difficult thank shotguns and rifles.
