Visit to range - shot a .500 Mag - pic heavy - enjoy!

Post by Bhargav » Mon Aug 27, 2012 11:09 am

Hello all,

Thought of sharing some pics with you guys. The pics are from my recent visit to the range where I fired the S&W 500 Magnum for the first time. Boy that was something. Absolutely loved it.

Here are some pics:

Guns: S&W 500 Mag Revolver
Rounds fired: 3 (yeah coz it kicks and is expensive :)

Some 9mm pistols : Glock 17, H&K, Kahr .380, S&W 22lr

Rifles fired : Beretta C4 storm in 9mm, AR-15 in 9mm (converted), WWII Thompson semi-auto in .45 ACP.

All in all spent around 4 hours at the range and burned good amount of money :)

I don't have all the pics because I was busy shooting :) but here are some for you to enjoy.

Sounds like you had a great time, Bhargav.
So what did you think of the recoil on the 500 Mag?

but surely one fine day i would certainly make a wish list of my favr8 firearms and just fire them at range.
and yes, i would love to get a big kickback from the .50AE DESERTEAGLE
god will help me fulfill my wish......
and for you, bhargav....... :cpix: keep on posting these beautiful weapons.
I don't care if I fall as long as someone else picks up my gun and keeps on shooting.

Xl_target, for the 50 cal I can say I did it :) I had my grip tight and elbows straight and locked. When the round fired, I could feel the shock wave pass from my palms to the wrist and elbow and then the shoulders. I can say I have to take a break and massage my palms after every 3-4 rounds.I loved it but not a practical gun I must say :)

The rounds are expensive though, I paid $4/round.

You lucky fellow, must have dropped like half a grand at the range? Only thing better is a trackday.
I would rather hit my target gently than miss hard.
