Is that an IOF Ashani transformed into a 1911!!
If so, I can just say - WOW!

Who has worked on it? How does she shoot, etc.?
Cheers!

Very nice indeed. The slide has been cut from the back and a new exposed spurred hammer (in place of the concealed,non-spurred one) has been added.Magazine release has been added behind the trigger. The slide possibly remains open now after the last shot is fired. Finish is very good.
Some questions ( I hope they are not too many) -
1. How has the muzzle end of the slide been modified ?
2. How has the barrel bushing been modified ?
3. Does it have a half cock feature ?
The overall effect is fantastic, I mean a la 1911 of that size - WOW !
Can you please share the modification details, the address of the gunsmith and the cost ?
best,
Rp.
P.S. Is it possible to post more pictures please ? Especially the back strap, cut slide, exposed hammer and the old magazine release catch part ?
It's always better to have a gun and not need it than need a gun and not have it !

Looks good. However I have some reservations about what has been done.
1.The chop job at the rear means that the slide rails have been shortened. -accuracy (it is not very accurate as it is)
2.The mass of steel welded to the slide should slow down the slide and should impact the timing. -reliability

Looks nice, I'm sure Browning is smiling in heaven seeing this modification proving the popularity of 1911 design. As WTP has pointed out, accuracy may suffer a little bit the beauty beats it IMHO.
BTW AFAIK x-rated stuff is not allowed in the forum

When I'll get to shoot a gun?

Hi Friends,
Thank you all very much for your encouraging comments,i have got it done under my own supervision ,unlike the last time when i had purchased the modified one.this time around i brought an ashani and as i have owned several foriegn made pistols earlier ,i setteled on llama which i have with my friend(it was mine ,sold it to him)i have given a try keeping in mind a few comments i recieved last time and probably they inspired me to give it a more refined finish, like one of our friend said it looks like llamashni, this time i made sure it wudnt resemble ashani at all and u could be a better judge that i have succseded or not.and somehow i knew the concern our friend winnie would have regarding the accuracy ,like i said the last time also it shoots beautifully and i havent noticed any problem with accuracy .with time i will post more pictures cause these pic are not of the chrome finished i had gotten last week.i hope my learned friends would appreciate my effort after they see the chromed finished look

Winnie,
can you explain your comments? Since the barrel is fixed, how could shortened slide rails affect accuracy? And "timing"? It's still a blowback, despite its looks.
