IOF .32 and experince of gun procurement from FGF kanpur

Post by indigo_indo » Wed Mar 16, 2011 6:09 pm

Hello friends ,

I became the proud owner of IOF .32 on the 1st of march this month and the first day after the union budget was released. It was however the tedious job and rather an adventure to bring the gun out of hands of sarkaari babus who are damn worried bout the customers who are spending lot of time and money to procure the guns and sharing their responsibility on one and the other ... the gun from FGF kanpur came with box and cleaning kit.

well after all that ends well is well , am happy with my new possession and shot almost all the bullets bought on the first day within a week, thanks to marriage parties and enthusiastic friends.

i have managed to get five different type of holsters for diff occasions and dress options. This one is concealed in pants type with shirt tucked in , usually if the shirt is taken little bit more out then it can be counseled fully

. Another one i have is shoulder hung and concealed below arm , ideal for suits and jackets but i got shoulder pain on the first day , i got it modified from local tailor , now it is ok.

This one is diff from one my uncle has with fixed firing pin . i feel more comfortable with this new model

my freinds can see the much wider grip than old model prior to 2006 model guns. finishing is also better say i give it 75 % marks on finishing . powder coating is good . i was thinking of getting it chrome plating done but mr Katana adviced me not to do it as we people cannot flaunt the guns in open and we have to conceal carry it.

Well 28 th of jan was the union budget allocation so the people in FGF were lethargic to check out that if there is any addition or change in taxation and excise. it took us nearly 8:30 to 5 o clock to argue and make noise , grumble and create a scene in the customer terminal of FGF , thanks to unity of punjabi folks who were their to raise hue and cry.

The pride of a new Handgun -especially one begotten after such a struggle !
At times one thinks what have these Babus turned us Indians into !!!
They take our hard earned cash- and then put us into such bother- but then sweet are the rewards.
Congrats.

yes you are right mr vijay .

the approach of sarkaari babus to wards gun seekers is like a ration depot wala behaving with below poverty line card holders. These things taking us decades behind . the job which could have been exceuted by less than three able bodied ( andf able headed ) men , a staff of 7 people did nothing all the day but to issue just 30 guns. and wasted precious time of many people who may have came with many engagements pending . among us there was veteran ex- soldier who has fought 1965 china war and two doctors and many more. i even missed my train and had to catch the next train .

well all that ends well is well , next day was shivratri and there were more than 35 people standing outside to get their turn , i think they were either returned empty handed or mus have stayed for next two more days...

God save india from red tapism
