IOF Revolver exchange from .22 to .32

Post by edgaringoa » Mon Jan 10, 2011 2:33 pm

I was interested in exchanging my .22 IOF revolver (new) for a .32 IOF revolver and the gun dealer in Goa advised me against it citing jamming and barrel bursting as major flaws in the IOF .32 revolver. He also commented that the snap open design of the .32 IOF revolver made this an unreliable weapon and said it could cause eye or body injury during operation. I left the shop in shock as I never heard such drastic comments about this weapon on this forum. At present and for the next 3 years an imported revolver of .32 caliber is out of my budget (2.75 lakhs) so I would appreciate some valuable advice on the subject of this particular exchange with emphasis on weapon usage safety. Thanks.

That ''good'' dealer might not have an second hand iof.32 rev at hand or he wants to push his old imported stuff , that is why he has given such absurd comment on IOF .32. The quality and finish are OK .But you get a new and warranteed product. IOF has its own stringent quality control .So best in these times is IOF, IOF,IOF

Thanks Veeveeaar. You assumed right, he didn't have a .32 in stock (new or used) and was pushing a German .32 revolver which I said was out of my reach. Quite shocking to have heard this from a gun dealer.
