I am a new member on this excellent forum with a newly developed interest in the field of Shooting & Arms. I am 29 years old working professional here in Bhopal. I have always looked upto this forum to successfully search for the required information on techniques, learnings, equipments, etc.
Earlier, i have done a lot of target shooting with a 'desi' break-barrel airgun till recent past. Currently, i am using an RWS 48 in .177cal for accuracy shooting on moving targets (usually balls or 'dhakkans') rolling at >30-40 yards range and i have started to get a good & consistant success rate (after removing the scope).
Now, i want to give myself a serious shot at the competition level and i am more interested in Shotgun (Skeet / Trap) Shooting, Although i never got a chance of shooting a single clay pegion, but, i am very confident of pulling it off as i am a very fast learner especially when something really excites me.

But... as usual, there is a problem...!!

Although there are some excellent facilities provided by the Directorate of Sports and Youth Welfare http://mpsportsandyw.nic.in/ for developing and nurturing young talent in both indoor & outdoor versions of the sport, also there is a beautiful facility (National Shooting Academy http://www.mofastudio.com/nsa.htm) coming up in a couple of months time, but, upon enquiy, i was informed that there is an age limit for participation, and i cannot enroll since i have lost my time. But i think that is one sport can be taken up regardless of age.

Also, i do not have an arms license, but will be applying withn a week or two. But have applied for the membership with the State Rifle Association.
Can anyone suggest the best way to take it forward...
