Greetings from The USA and occasionally Pune

Post by mannerofliving » Thu Dec 16, 2010 6:06 am

As I'll be traveling to the Maharashtra area again more frequently I thought I'd sign up and possible develop some new friendships with other gun enthusiasts.
I work as a security contractor (good guy) as well teach reality based training and do real+airsoft gunsmithing. I've been an avid shooter for over 30 years (since a boy) and even now shoot almost daily when I can. I live on a large farm in the USA and have several ranges and a workshop here.

Anyone here in particular from the Pune area please let me know. I'll be back there around new years shortly.

Welcome mannerofliving,

Is that a personal collection of firearms displayed in your avatar ? If it is, then how about some eye candy for everyone on this forum ? :)

best,
Rp.

Thank you for the welcome.

Yeah, That is one wall of my home shop. My wife calls that room my man cave. haha
Many of those are repairs, cleaning and such I'm doing for clients and friends. Not all of those are firearms, a few of them are airsoft replicas we use for training too.
I have more containers under my benches with projects that I hope one day to finish.
Here is a few we were using to test ballistics armor the other day...
On ground is an aks74u
r-l on the bench is Ruger 44mag, Glock 26, Walther p22, Keltec 32acp, 357 mag revolver...

A new AR10 (308) that is in to have the scope fitted.

and an airsoft svd I just finished tuning for a buddy of mine, I'd love to get the real thing of this one but the cost would be extreme LOL

Welcome to the forum!

I live in Pune, and do a bit of tinkering myself. Let's catch up on a couple of cold ones when you're here, wot say?
"With solid bullets on heavy animals such as elephant, rhino and buffalo this power is quite apparent but is not so obvious as when soft-nose bullets are being used, say, lion, particularly when is a case of stopping a charge : the .404 will stop him all right, but will seldom crumple him quite so completely as will the .416" -- John Taylor, Big Game and Big Game Rifles, (Ch. IX)
