Hi All

Till the recent past, I had been thinking that in India it would be rare enough to find people interested in guns, albeit I must accept that I have been signing on to a lot of forums on the web, none though in India. I was elated when I found this forum which is full of experienced and knowledgable members in this field.....

Basically, I am interested in Infantry weapons and read a lot about it [ not an engineer, though ! ]
I would like to seek assistance from you whether is there any chance of getting replica weapons/ blank weapons [ which dont classify as firearms] in Chennai or at least across the country, also seek advise whether owning these replicas, would it warrant a license? Where would these kind of replica models be available? must admit that I dont own a license currently, although I intend to get one......

Hello Gunman,
Owning a replica gun doesn't require any license. You can buy either a dummy gun or a blank firer gun without having any kind of legal document. There are various people selling Blank / Dummy guns on this forum itself . Contact them in sale section.

Welcome aboard gunman79. Owning replicas should not be a problem. Heard that there is a place in Bangalore which sells good replicas.
