Design looks very outdated .Is that teak wood for the furniture?

Compared to the Mauser '98 that forms the basis of the vast majority of the factory/custom rifles(direct copies or variations) out there, it is certainly 'modern'

Do you have an alternate ?
There are lot of aftermarket accessories and gun smithing options available to make it a "Desi Mame"

OMG  this is serious, 3 minutes of cooling before next shot? Is it with all 30-06 rifles or just with all IOF 30-06 rifles?

That is how you shoot when you can spare just three rounds for an outing  Nothing wrong with the rifle though and nothing dramatic is going to happen if you shoot 3 or for that matter 30, in a row.

@ivot_80 : The furniture is pine.

@winnie : You got it right! My license quota is just 100 rounds per year. How does one fire off so many then?

@goodboy : I'm just giving an impression of the rifle that I have. Maybe some barrels dont. Even in my brno .22 I have a tendency to be patient while taking the next shot, just to allow it to cool. That ultimately effects your shot placement. Cooler the barrel, greater the accuracy.

When we talk of metallurgy, these metals are designed in such a way that they reach their optimum temperature (some time red hot). But they can be continue-sly used without any problem . This is the beauty of metals that unless and until they remain at an optimum temperature they perform flawlessly but the moment that barrier is crossed they tend to loose their sustaining power . When these weapons are passed through RND they are rigorously tested , beyond our imagination . So don't worry even if the rifle turns red hot .
