Re: llama vs beretta
i do not have exp. with them , but berretta1934 would not perform better than llama .32 due to long time period since production also it is difficult to get them and on the expensive side ...llama would suit as a defensive weapon for general use

Re: llama vs beretta
I've used the llama .32 on several ocassions, functions ok,but they tend to jam with iof ammo frequently. If you can get your hands on a Beretta 1984(only one of my friends has one),then you're really lucky. As for the cost my friend sold his Llama for about 90000,1988 manufacture.

Re: llama vs beretta
Dr. Saheb what is the model for the Lama pistol? Overall Beretta's are much better pistols as compared to llama's but then again also depends on the conditions of the two items.

Re: llama vs beretta
I owned a Llama .380 a long time ago. Basically a smaller version of the 1911. It was a reliable pistol, well made, and well polished. Same frame as their .32 ACP version.

Re: llama vs beretta
I have a star .380 (very similar to the LLAMA) and a 1934 Beretta and here are my thoughts.
The open top on the beretta make it a good deal more reliable in feeding. However the safety throw is almost 180 degrees and not easy to reach with the shooting thumb. Also the slide hold open is accomplished with the magazine, making it difficult to remove the magazine and do a quick change.
The star is more ergonomically made but may not function as well as the beretta.
Both shoot well out to about 20 yards
good luck

Wierdly as far as pistols go I would stay away from llama, beretta and the PPk. Get a Cz if you can.

Re: llama vs beretta
hi,
i ad a llama and my brother still has a beretta, needless to say i have shot with both.my personal experience is that not much of a diff in shooting ,whereas beretta is more sturdy of the two.it also is the more costilier of the two in the already insane secondhand imported gun market..a reasonably well maintained llama would be anyway near 4.00 to 4.5 and beretta above 6 i believe.the prices would differ from region to region as the availability and preferences change .but it seldom would be in the case of price difference of a llama and a beretta i beleieve..
thanks

Re: llama vs beretta
They don't necessarily have the same availability in India, that exists elsewhere. And I see nothing wrong with Beretta or Walther. Both are well made firearms. Llama is sort of touch and go, depending on when the firearm was made. But I've seen very good quality made Llamas, and some not so good.MoA wrote:Wierdly as far as pistols go I would stay away from llama, Beretta and the PPK. Get a CZ if you can.
