A couple of suggessions

1. It will be nice if we can decide the Date's and Location well in advance or atleast think of something tentitive.
2. Have classes of competetion, for some of us it may be the first time that we are trying it out of our backyard. It will be a no win situation for first times and no challange for the more experienced people
3. Once have decided on details have a vote around the sutable dates. I would assume it would be a weekend...

I would assume there will be an entry fee bcause the range etc would have to be booked so how such logistcis will work should also be though through

Mundaire,

Count me in! I'm just about to acquire an IOF .30-06, but am limited on two fronts. Namely, my license is restricted to Gujarat state and ammunition is quantity to 100. If something can be worked out, I'm game. In fact would give my left arm to be there. (I need the right one to stabilise the gun and pull the trigger!)

Katana just a suggestion for you, tell your licencing authority to grant you a temporary extension of jurisdition as you have participate in a shooting competition, its like a transport licence. It will be issued for Delhi to and fro by rail/air/road as you state your need for it.It is done for competition shooting and repairs of weapons. So now i think we can see you.

Amit,

Hope to see you too! I hope this comp really works out. I guess I can work out the modalities at my DM's office. Somehow I don't think it should be much of a problem. However, let Mundaire and his team work out the modalities of it first. Importantly, the documentation should be in place too. The idea is good but I'm sure there are hurdles to be crossed. Another factor to be taken into consideration will be NRAI's stand on this.
