IFG air-rifle/pistol 10 metre comp.

Post by Mack The Knife » Fri Dec 21, 2007 12:56 pm

How many of you would like to make this a monthly affair?

1) You can use any calibre air-rifle or air-pistol.
2) You can use any sighting apparatus.
3) Five shots per card.
4) Four cards to be shot. This does not include cards used for sighters.
5) Time limit is 30 minutes including the time taken for sighters and changing targets.
6) ISSF 10 metre air-rifle and air-pistol targets to be used for rifles and pistols respectively.
7) Distance of target from the shooting line will be 10 metres.
8 ) All shots to be taken free standing. Target air-pistols to be shot single handed, non-target air-pistols can be shot two handed if you like.

If interested, post your pics and/or scores on this thread before the end of this December.

Hi Rusty,

Me ready to play with air rifle. So do we shoot ISSF STYLE, standing or should we do a 25m bench match? I'm going nuts since I got access to a complete range.
But lets play ten meter five shot groups on four cards.

Do we score them like before?

Regards,

Dev

Thanks, Dev. I had a feeling I had forgotten something. Have amended my initial post. See point # 8.

No, we will not be shooting for groups, if that is what you had in mind. Scoring will be inward.

Sanjiv, just realised that some may not have dedicated target pistols, so you and any others participating with non target pistols are free to use a two handed grip.

Will amend the rule.

I'm in too.

Use the third target from the top for air-rifle and the second target from the top for air-pistol.

Here's a sample air-pistol target. Shoot four air-pistol or air-rifle target cards such as this and write down the details as shown.

If you do not have a digi-cam, just post the details.

Have fun!
