Centre Hold vs 6 O Clock Hold

Post by nmondal » Thu Jun 27, 2019 11:58 pm

Hi Guys,
I am preparing for 10m Air Pistol, ISSF.
I think am good with centre Hold - my average after 2 weeks of practice is 8.5(/10) and counting up.
However, I am wondering anyone else is using Centre Hold?
Everyone I am seeing are using 6 O Clock hold, or at least trying to.
I am yet to receive my gun - hence asking.
Any help and analysis will be helpful!

Please use sub-six or six o'clock hold. That is the correct technique to develop in air pistol. You will start to miss your shots as fatigue hits you in a sixty shot match. The technique you have to practice is lowering the pistol slowly from 12 O'clock and beginning the trigger squeeze and executing the shot as your sight reaches six O'' clock position. Once you get this right your scores will be better.
To ride, to speak up, to shoot straight.
