Starting with .22 LR

Post by dealtoday » Mon May 10, 2010 9:46 pm

Hi,

I would like to know if a new comer can start straight with .22lr for shooting completions or has to start with air rifles and then jump to big bores. I don't have arms license so can I join a rifle club and have access to their weapons for practice.

Waiting anxiously for everyone's inputs.

Regards

Milind

I dont believe there are any rules regarding caliber. You can start all three simultaneously if you wish, or pick what ever you want. Keep in mind despite it being 'shooting' the requirements are very different. At 300 meters the target does seem very small.

+1 on moa. i think .22 is small bore.
You want more gun control? Use both hands!

it will be much much cheaper to start with air rifle, cost of pellets and .22 amo much different. later you can keep participating in more events too.
