Hello all respectful members,
While travelling by road my farm lies on the Gujarat Rajasthan border inside Gujarar while my handgun licence is for Gujarat state only, in case I happen to cross the border into Rajasthan due to some urgency with my weapon, what should be the legal procedure ?
Regards

You will require a Travel Permit.
(This is normally valid for 15 days).
I am not sure if this allows use of the Weapon.
It is mostly used to transport a Fire-Arm.
(For endorsement, purchase etc.)
Carrying your Weapon beyond the Area of Validity is Illegal.

All India endorsement is very very difficult.
If you have the right connections,
It may take a couple of months to a year, minimum.

You can apply for Journey License on form XI of New arms rules 2016. Time limit for which Journey license will be valid is not mentioned in the rules so it depends on the license issuing authority what it thinks is right. It can be valid for one, two or three months.

If you give application to the DM/ADM that you need to travel outside jurisdiction area of your arms license and need to carry your weapon with you for self defense and your application is accepted, I see no reason why you can't use your weapon in self defense.
