Congratulations, Mack The Knife! Does this mean that you're also going to become the proud owner of an A-5?

BTW this is OT but I gave the Brownell book to Inder and he too seems to be enjoying it. It has all the recipes for home brewing different kinds of bluing formulae and for different stock finishes etc. I hope you enjoy it.

Cheers, buddy!

Does it mean you can now buy any capacity shotgun or just a single or double barelled one?

Cheers mate,

Krish

Mehul,

If only you could see the condition of that particular A-5....

I will have another look at it again later this month before even thinking about getting a Prohibited Bore Gun.

However, I will be going to the Commissioner's next week to see if I can change DBBL Gun to SBBL/DBBL Gun.

I really do appreciate that book but I was hoping that could be the pass around copy and I could have my own. I am a bit finicky about who I lend my books to. No chance of snagging another copy for a fiver or tenner?

Thanks, Krish.

My licence is currently for a double barrel because I specifically asked for it. However, I will request the authorities to give me both options.

As far as I know, there is no magazine capacity restriction in India. However, a semi-auto is considered to be a Prohibited Bore and would require considerable effort on my part to procure such a licence. A pump action is perfectly okay but are commanding extremely high premiums - twice what penpusher mentioned in a recent thread. For example, Rs.300,000 for an ordinary Remington.

Personally, I would be only too happy with an ordinary double, even if it has hammers, so long as it is in good condition and is sensibly priced.....for India, that is.

Hope you find something decent and affordable very quickly Mack The Knife.
Are `chai-pani` and `Vitamin-M` one and the same ?

Thanks, Grumpy.

Yes, those two terms refer to the same thing.

Mack The Knife,

I'll be going there with Inder. He, too, wants to buy some books and hunting videos. The shop is a little family owned place that guarantees prices that are 50% lower than the list price or lower. How they do it is anyone's guess. Will check if more copies of the book are available. Otherwise, just give people photocopies until I find another discount copy.

Will report back after going there again,

Mehul
