Can I own more than one .177 airgun?
Dear Sirs and forum members, is there any restriction on the number of airguns one can purchase? I have a Precihole Athena. Thinking of getting the SDB Sniper too.

There is no limit on number of airgun .177 calibre you can own. Go ahead and buy it if that's your choice. However, the latest arms rules prescribed that you should report it to the nearest police station.

I'm sorry, I'm too lazy to read the lengthy rules again and I, therefore, cannot post the article numbers. As lazy as I am, a quick google search showed me one of such notification from Government of Mizoram. It seems like they even have Airgun Licensing Authority as it was written in the notification.drshamsherrana wrote: ↑Fri Jul 12, 2024 12:28 amdear able

This article in not in English, so couldn't understand it. But it looks like a local state govt notice. AFAIK airguns of .177 caliber are exempted from any license requirements.

Re: Can I own more than one .177 airgun?
I have purchased 3 Gel Blaster Rifles (AK47, M416, and SCAR-L) made of Plastic parts from a Kerala-based company (doesn't have a GST yet) and hasn't provided me the Invoice, but I ordered it online from their website. The Ammo used here is 7 to 8 millimetre size of Gel Balls (that expand after immersed in water for 3 to 4 Hours). I need to understand the laws (purchasing, storage, transporting, any limits on number of guns and ammo owned, resale, etc.) governing these rifles. The range it fires isn't more than 15 meters (because after that Gravity does it's work).
The presence of "Paintball Guns" found here in the "Arms Rules, 2016" GoI Gazette REGD. NO. D. L. - 33004/99 released on JULY 15, 2016 -->
Chapter 1 > 2 > 35 and 36
Part 5 > Clause 84, 89
Schedule 1, Part A, i
Schedule 4, Table A, Part 1, f
Also, the ones I bought "appear" to be "Replicas" of the real ones (but all parts are of plastic material). I would be happy to file an RTI as well if someone here could guide me better. I have attached the pics here for a better understanding.
All Rifles' and Accessories Image
Light Tracing Silencer
Charging Cable to charge the Battery Battery
Internal working of the Gel Blaster Rifles which is similar to the other Gell Blasters as well
I am confused here reading the "Arms Rules, 2016" and hence I seek someone who guides me here and validates my approach whether I am going in the right direction? which all rules, laws, acts, etc. do I have to read? (Reading isn't any issue for me. If you've long literature in digital form available I can also assist you in pulling up info quickly from that.)
Apologies for any inconvenience and my anxiety, but laws are in our country are so vague hence need Expert opinion(s). I prefer to do everything legally. (Because you know the Law Enforcement in India.) Thanks in advance.
