It's near my village called Ithalar, which is 17 kms from Ooty bus stand. One of my parcels of land is 2 acres, sloping down to where the waters from the Emerald dam form a big lake.

It's a beautiful place.

Right now, the water level is high due to the heavy monsoon rain.

Beautiful sunrise and sunset views.

Plenty of wildlife. Leopards, wild boar, deer...even tigers have been spotted infrequently.

Hi Bishop,

How come the Athena 200 NX puts out 20 Joules, but if i change the existing springer setup in the Orion to the same nitro(Precihole 60Bar, which I've ordered for), the power output is going to go up only marginally ?

Could more mods to the Orion result in a satisfying power output close to 20 J ?

If more than 20 J could be produced, that'd be an awesome bonus !

Hi all
Forgive me if I'm being irritating, but I'm losing sleep over the fact that the Athena NX200 puts out 20 j and it seems that going by your advice and judgement, the SX100 can't replicate the same power when fitted with a 60 BAR Nitro.

I wonder what else could be done to achieve this target, without buying an Athena NX200 and swapping barrels?

Could anybody help please???

Thanks a ton!!

Hi members!
Good morning!
I've been losing sleep over the fact that the Athena NX200 puts out 20 J but i won't be able to increase the power output of the SX100 with a 60Bar nitro to be on par, at 20 J.

I've been thinking, if i buy Weirauch or Diana 460 M and swap the SX100's barrel, would the power go up to 20 J ?

Considering that the two imported ARs shoot around 1000 fps or more.

I think some other imported ARs shoot even above the sound barrier.(Gamo, Hatsan etc)

Would it make sense to try ?

What do you guys think?

Thanks!

Bishop

NX200 Athena has a longer stroke compared to Orion.
Even if you change Orion into Nitro-Piston the stroke length will remain the same, hence there will be no gain in energy.
If you go with NX200 Athena and fit Orion's .22 barrel,it will be one cracking rifle delivering more than 20 joules of energy, because of increased efficiency of larger caliber.
