Hi friends this is parvez .
I am totally novice in this area ...
After school days I started target practicing this week . But was really upset by my performance.

I don't know who is guilty but something is somewhere wrong .

Whenever I am shooting the pallets move to the left top corner of the target area
I am shooting at a distance of 16 ft only ... not able to mark a single bulls eye ...
Any one know you this is happening

I am using
Heman mark 1 air pistol .22 5.5mm
Pallets are marvelous shots
Attaching pics with this post

Pls review and help

Thank you

Parvez

Boss, your grouping is better than I will achieve in this lifetime. Your pistol is shooting up and to the left. If you cannot correct the sights to compensate you will have to aim below and right. Good shooting.

You may shift the back sight towards your right.
If still the problem remains then you can follow
what benne has said , aim little right of the target
so that you hit centre.

Is the barrel of your pistol rifled or smooth bore?

Parvez,
there are many factors that affect accuracy. Please consider this.

Check if the barrel is rifled or not.
The quality of rifling also matters
The gun might be OK. You might have to understand your gun and learn the proper technique (you can find endless resources of this in this forum).
Each gun has a favorite pellet. Use a couple of other brands and see which best suites.
Your pistol might need to 'break in'. this will happen only after several 100 rounds.
It might simply be due to site adjustments.

Don't get frustrated. You'll get there with patience.

Oops...don't expect bulls eye always. Look for decent grouping. Even imported spring pistols won't give you 'hole in hole' always
Happy plinking

You know what you all guys are just the best people in this world ....
I was about to keep my gun back thinking shooting isn't for me ... but
But after reading I am motivated a lot ....

Some one said me that he man is just a toy ... If I am serious I should get a decent riffle .
I am planning to get
Ihp m35 .22 5.5 or precihole so 100 Orian ....

About adjusting the sight the rear sight is fixed one and can't move It but yes I can aim for lower right ....

Thanks for your info and motivation .

Any other advice is welcome whole heartedly ....

Thanks once again ...

Dear all
After suggesting I changed my aiming point to the lower right which resulted in most pallets landing in between the target ... but still above the bulls eye .... should I aim at more lower to get it on right ... .
Can't make any changes to the gun because it's kind of fixed ... not allowing to make any changes ...

As well I may be getting my ihp today ... let see what results it gives to me ...
Thanks

My 2 cents
If it's a new pistol, it might need some running in.
Try rested position at the same distance to understand the grouping the pistol can give.
The finger placement in the trigger is very important too as you tend to push / pull in one direction.
If your sights are not adjustable see if you can alter it a little bit to more suit it's grouping

There are not many people who have used the HEMAN and hence detailed information such as you are asking for - maybe difficult to find keygun.

Named to make you feel like this:

The company manufacturing this gun does not advertise much beyond what you see below:

Image

Heman Mark I 5.5 airpistol:
A break barrel 5.5mm airpistol. RANGE 10MTRS (APPROX) with open and back sight for better accuracy. Ideal for indoor paper target practice.

What does 'open and back sight' mean?

That it has a fixed rear sight and NO front sight - very nicely explained - 'open' to interpretation of course!

So, not many people have taken the trouble to measure the FPS. However, in a humorous vein here is one that demonstrates its capacity.

nagarifle decided to carry out a scientific test. He took the pistol by its barrel, rotated it back with his strong arm, about 195 degrees and chucked it into the lake with whatever force he could muster. He then very carfully measured the FPS and concluded that....

It - sank successfully without a trace!

:D

So there you have it gentlemen...

The HEMAN Mk 2, 5.5 pistol has now been officially rechristened The Yak Mod. 2.765432 by none other than the venerable nagarifle!

That's the end of that topic - at least the way I see it!
