Selling and Purchasing 0.22 Rifle

I have an arms licence registered in Delhi with three weapons endorsed on it 0.22 Rifle , 12 GA DBBL and .30 06 Rifle. I now want to sell the 0.22 and purchase another 0.22 Rifle. The Delhi police licensing website is not very clear about the procedure. Do I go through the 'conversion ' route or do I first have to sell the weapon and then apply afresh for a 0.22 endorsement. Would appreciate comments of our esteemed members.

Dear Chengy,
You will have to go to LA at Defence Colony and give them 45 days notice for selling the weapon. LA will put a stamp on your licencing giving the name of the dealer to whome you are selling the weapon. LA will also put the date after which you can buy the new weapon.
