Congrats!! This doesn't happen a lot. I presume it's ABS built, it wont show up on x-ray so high chance to slip through if you used airmail.

Do tell us how this EBB performs. It looks well finished.

Hi JackieD,

I will post some pics soon..
It's Tokyo Marui make. Build quality is superb as you would expect from Tokyo Marui.
Size wise 1:1 replica of the original. Feels solid, weighs around 400gm with 4XAAA size batteries.
Material: Polymer, Shoots 6mm 0.2g BB's fairly accurate upto a range of 50 - 60 feet.
Shoots semi auto and fully auto. Full auto mode is cool.
One disadvantage is lower mag capacity which is 15.
Good for indoor target shooting.

Thanks.

Hey guys,
Iam super new to the forum and I recently ordered a full metal airsoft m4 from redwolf airsoft it's a systema ptw . I ordered the ultimate challenge kit so it comes as a kit even the gearbox comes as parts that has to be put together and ordered a few extra mags with it too . The package reached chennai yesterday and is about to go through customs will there be a problem or will it get through without any trouble ? given the knowledge of our customs officers...

@kathiresan WOW. A systema ptw!!!! Where did you find the money for one of those. I wish you all the luck in the world that it comes to you unharmed. It is my dream gun. Please, for the love of airsoft gods, post pics and videos when you assemble it.

@Sobo... Sure thing man. I actually thought of getting something around the 200-300$ range then I realised I'll always want to upgrade to a better weapon and the shipping charges and customs problems and all that I thought that I might as well get the best and make it a one time thing ... But I guarantee you it won't be a one time thing  ...... Iam glad to meet people of the same interest and it's really amazing and exciting hear that the systema ptw is your dream gun... I'll definetly post a whole load of pics and vids right from the unboxing to the assembly and shooting ..... After all what is this forum for!!! ... Iam glad I joined this forum . :D :)

I wouldn't know for sure buddy, but from what i hear there was an airsoft scene in chennai. Maybe someone here will ping you up after seeing your post about available fields, or try to get the word out through your fb. Word of mouth is the key.

Did you get a letter or call from customs stating that? If so, we're not fully surprised but you still have a fair chance to be fine considering this is nothing like a blank gun.

Btw, how far you are from chennai forensics lab?

Just curious, which challenge kit did you order for the Systema? SuperMax? What spring does the kit have? If it has the M130 spring in it, which I'm guessing is the case, it may be too hot to play with in close quarters.

No i didn't get a letter or a call but I spoke to the customs AC directly to check the status , he told me that the general procedure if it's a gun for sports related purposes you will have to produce the rifle club details and if it's a toy gun ,a forensics lab test might be required to confirm its a toy and if they are sending it the forensics, he told me I'll have to go to the airport and they will open the consignment in my presence.

I really don't know where the forensics lab is in chennai but mostly if the package is headed there I'll escort it.

the AC told me this is the general procedure and he'll let me know what exactly is going to happen today after talking to the person handling my package as he was not able to contact the person yesterday and he asked me not to worry about it and said that " you will receive your toy unharmed "
