My father owned a DBBL and my name is entered as the retainer on his all India license. He expired a few months ago and I have informed the same to the District Administration. Now I want the weapon transferred in my name. I already own a revolver and all the verifications were done when I was granted my license. Now the ADC is saying that I will have to get a legal heir certificate.
I want to know the procedure getting the weapon of my dead father transferred in my name. I also want to know the rights of a retainer because when my grand father died, his license was transferred to my father's name in just 1 application and affidavit as he was the retainer in the license.
