Friends,
A friend of mine is travelling to India and, on his way back, has a day or two to spend in Singapore . He bought a rifle scope where it is legal and as you know legal in India too.
I require this clarification. Is it legal to carry a rifle scope in Singapore? If not, is it possible to store the scope at the Singapore airport and collect it before boarding the flight?
I would sincerely appreciate any help. Thank you.

He can keep it in a suitcase and leave the suitcase in the luggage storage area in the basement of Changi. I forget the exact term but there is a place where you can leave your luggage in a locker by paying the daily rate.

BTW, I found out that buying and carrying scopes in Singapore is perfectly legal. Hope this info is useful to anyone looking for the same.

As per DGFT India, riflescope is restricted item.

Scopes in India are restricted but not prohibited or banned. They are legal for possession and allowed to be brought in personal baggage as long as they are not mounted on a air or firearm.
