IFG Bangalore Meet

Post by Mo » Thu Feb 28, 2008 11:47 pm

Hi Guys!

I know there are a bunch of us here, from Bangalore. Why dont we all meet up for a fun filled plinking session?

Why dont we come up with ideas on where to meet up and what to do?

Leodude, Pran and Me will be showing up. We haven't yet decided on a venue.

Any takers??

Rusty, it'd be graet if you can show up...

Mo.

I don't need a special invite, Mo.

I'd happily come along but there is no point making a commitment if the venue and date is undecided.

Let's make it on Saturday. I've got a place near ITPL which I think is big enough to host a airgun plinking session.

Will confirm with my Dad just be sure.

Here's the tentative plan. Let's meet on Saturday morning at around 10.30 - 11. The venue will be near ITPL.

Any changes in Venue, timings are welcome.

As of now, the people attending are

Hi Guys!

I think Sunday would be better cause Leo has some commitments on Saturday.

Maybe we can make this a regular event. Every two weeks or so should be comfortable. That way more people are sure to join in!

Eventually, this can become a family event! The guys meeting up to plink n the better (arguably) halves can have their share of fun too!

I know its wishful thinking. But hey, it happens in many parts of the world and they all began like this!

Pran, thanks for the venue bro. It helps. You dont anticipate any neighbour trouble do you?

Rusty, I didnt mean it as a special invite bro. I remembered you telling me about your weekends. So I anticipated the fishing trip and was wondering whether you'd be free. But do join the next time. Its not an invite, a demand more likely

Hi Diskaon!

Next Sunday should be great.

I will be meeting Pran tomorrow to go check out the place so that we can have an idea of what can be organised.

Stay Tuned!

Mo.

Hi Guys!

Here are some pics of the place we visited last week. It belongs to IFG Member Pran and was safely deserted when we had the meet.

Several pis were taken but most of them had fuzzy focus. I'm putting up the ones that give you a general idea of the area.

There is also a nice shaded area where you can park your car.

The Parking area is directly behind this area. On the right is a Garden. Funnily the Pic is of the path. (My Better half to-be was in control of the camera, the other members will bear witness to this )

The makeshift Range, Here's where we shot, Behind the stacked up bricks, there is a huge mound of sand that provided a safe backdrop. Its not seen in this pic due to over exposure. The distance is slightly over 50 yards and hence perfect to shoot.
Image

The above area lies in right angle to another long stretch that around 80 yards long. Here's a pic of that stretch
Image

The area is perfect for a plinking session, provided we have some nice targets to shoot at! The range shown above is good for target shooting and the adjoining area is good for general plinking.

If more members decide to join us, it'll be lotsa fun!!

Real nice, you can actually have a good field target type of set up. Anyway tumbling cans and all should be fun.

Have fun.
