@ Srikanth
Since you are looking specifically to start with 10 M air rifle, I'd suggest that you enroll for the Summer Coaching which would have started today.
The SAP range is in the HCU Campus at Gacchibowli . ( Drive down from the gate , 2nd turning to the right after the sugarcane juice bandi ! :-0 )
Do meet Mr. Govind Rao there , he is a nice chap and would help you out. I'd suggest that you get there by 9.15 AM.

Hello IFGians,

I've called Rifle Association of Andhra Pradesh, they've told that me details of membership and also mentioned that I've to pay Rs1000 per month for practising. Is this common in all clubs? And I hold arms license which gives me access to use a .22LR rifle. Do the association provide me ammo or I need to use the quote I have been allotted by the license authority? What is the price of ammo? Thanks

You can call up the Rifle Association of AP or you can download the membership from its site
http://www.raap.co.in/membership.html
The person incharge for membership is Mr.RajKumar.

I am a life member of the association and a major advantage is that you can use the range and you can borrow guns for practice provided you have an Arms license. You can obviously use the air guns at the range.

Cheers

Ashar
Is this true? Can we borrow ammo and arms to practice here??
Any hyd members please confirm??
Regards
Syed

Wow, was much less expensive 4 years ago apparently!

The present membership fee as per their website is:

---

Lifetime : INR 15,000
Annual : INR 10,000 and 500 renewal per annum

---

One thing that seems to not have changed in the past years, based in the information on this old thread, is their culture of not answering their telephone and not responding to emails.

:)

I am told my championship shooters that this here range is the best they have been in the country.

I'm planning to get myself a membership soon.

After the bifurcation of the state, its TRA for Telangana (Telangana Rifle Association).
Must admit, the enrollment s straight forward, they are friendly and the process is quick.
