Will it be possible for the NRAI life-members to buy it directly from the NRAI ?

The wording in the NRAI notice talks about individual shooters:
"The aspiring shooters who are keen to join the shooting sport are buying old sports arms from the market at exorbitant rates..."
This implies that they are getting the arms for individual shooters, but further down it says:
"...will import all categories of weapons in bulk from manufacturers and will supply to all State Rifle Association's and Affiliated Clubs..."
So it is not clear if this is for individual shooters or just for Clubs. Can someone clarify this?

It is very clear, to help individual shooters, they will bulk import weapons for the district clubs/ rifle associations who order such weapons. These can then be provided to said shooters at the ranges/issued to them/ etc/etc..
The weapons will not be for sale to shooters, but it will be a great boon nevertheless.

The way majority of the state and district rifle associations are run,I do not have high hopes that any member would be able to get his/her hands on the guns and ammo. Not unless you are willing to kow tow to the president/secretary.

Like with all government policies, initiatives, this one too will not be utilised to the its full potential. Mostly due to the lackadaisical attitude of the office bearers.

However- "not utilised to its full potential" is any day better than no initiative at all! Would welcome it and hopefully see some benefit, whatever little it could get.

If the members are insipid then they have no right to complaint.
It is up to the members to ask their respective associations to order some firearms. If they dont, then dont elect them next time around and stand for office yourself.
:)
Ultimately, an association is representative of its members. Nothing else.

Thats great news Arjun. Thanks for sharing. Unbelieveable prices and 40 different models to chose from.
Looks like my old shot gun just depreciated drastically. :D :D

Oh yes,
Guys, this is happening. Associations up north are doing this. Dont miss out because you are whining about apathy of your association members!
We are sitting here, talking to our association ten times a day, because its for our benefit! So do it or go back to buying imported firearms at inflated pices or the tragic iof pieces
