Does anyone have the copy of the Arms Amendment (including the exemption for sports shooters)? It is still not yet clear the number of weapons exempted and criteria of Sports Shooters.

See section 13 of arms act. Instead of. 22 rifle or. 22 air rifle it could be any arm for the member of shooting club or shooting associationn recognised by central govt.

Section 13 of Arms Act 1959, deals with issuance of license and has nothing to do with the total limit on maximum number of firearms a person may legally own/ possess.

This limit is per Section 3(2) of the Arms Act and the exemption for members of shooting clubs/ rifle associations is per Section 3(3).

In present i dont understand what big danger for government in 4 model very old developing pistol and revolver ? and 3 model bolt action and 1 pag
all this calibers .32 ACP (max power 180-200 j) , .32 long and short (max power 120-130 J) .22 (max power 100 j) for parameters looks like russian less lethal gun caliber in 10x28 (power 250 J) and other
For kill people need shoot 3-4 times or many
accuracy all indian made pistol and revolver terrible
for example
Yes I too wanted to make a similar point as Russianshooter3. Indian arms and ammo made for civilians are not reliable at all so the govt need not fear....

Rest assured unless the NRAI does something about this, we will be left in the lurch. A campaign/signature petition etc will be great but solid backing of the NRAI is a must in my opinion.
True
I thought that the limit was revised to two in the Act! Even then two is on the lower side. I have an ancestral .12 bore SBBL in my family since four generations and a pistol for self defence and that completes my quota. This means that I can no longer have a usable weapon for sporting purposes unless I get my family heirloom deactivated or sell the pistol which I own for self defence.
Any good fellow in Delhi NCR who will do a clean job of conversion?

That boat has sailed, the Amendment was enacted into law and notified in December 2019, however in stead of limiting it to just one firearm, the government made a minor concession and kept the limit at maximum of 2 firearms.
