Comparing a total of 1947 deaths involving Licensed Fire Arms over a 5 year period (2011-2015) or an average 1.06 Deaths per day with 150,935 vehicular deaths on our roads in just one year (2016) or an average 415 deaths per day, we should enforce a far stricter licensing regimen for vehicles than what is being followed for the licensing of guns.

Any mechanism or device that takes away 415 lives every day after day would have been termed as Weapons of Mass Destruction, but it has not happened with vehicles. Guns on the other hand are perceived to be weapons of destruction/assault, while millions of guns are deployed across the globe, ensuring peace and stability, protecting life and property. Logically, and legitimately, we could reverse our perspective towards guns and vehicles.

Agreed the condition of license issual is not good and there arr no stringent tests.

Just to play the devil's advocate here, numbers are misleading and do not convey the correct message.

Assuming there are 5 students in a class and all 5 pass the exams, while in another class there are 100 students and 10 pass the exams.

Which class is better.
5 or 10
Or
100% or 10%
