We might succeed in getting Airliners rationalise weapon carriage fee.

*BEFORE* 27th June, 16, Write to DGCA for making weapon carriage fee a % of fare rather than the flat 5000 Rs. https://rahuldoes.wordpress.com/2016/06 ... t-5000-rs/ via @Rahul_Does

My email:-

Dear Sir,

I exhort the office of the respected DGCA to pass appropriate rules, stopping the blatant robbery by all airlines on the matter of weapon carriage.

It was started by Jet when the USD was about 50 INR.

Mindlessly applying the international weapon carriage rate of $100 on domestic carriage, 5,000 Rupees was fixed as weapon carriage charges.

It is acceptable, purely by my standards, to pay 5,000 on a 50,000 Rupee’s ticket.

To charge the same on a Rs. 2,090 ticket is ridiculous, to say the least.

Many a times, they have not even spared international level shooters!

I request you to kindly keep this in mind when framing the new fare rules anf pass appropriate guidelines.

Thanking you,

Yours truly,

Rahul.
