No offence or disrespect meant - just my brand of humour!bennedose wrote:Maybe he blinked just as the photo was being taken?ckkalyan wrote:Nice one kasimpatel! Now if only he could keep his eyes open while firing....![]()
I would have to admit that he could have shut his eyes for a fraction of a second, for any number of reasons, before, during or after...no denying that possibility. Hey, eyes while shooting - maybe this could be a good subject for one of your brilliant, super-slow motion videos...bennedose? Loved those in good ole' BLR

Re: our PM
Thanks. But seriously those photos are "sort of" worrying. Our PM has his finger right on the trigger and the camera person is right in the path of where a wild shot might go (especially if his eyes were really closed
). Of course one must assume that all precautions were taken, but from a gun safety point of view that is no excuse. By definition all sorts of basic safety norms have been flouted. Maybe that is why the an next to Modi was sweating so much?

Re: our PM
Bennedose, I assume the people around Mr. Modi are shooters or (more likely) administrators of shooting sports. If so, it speaks volumes about the kind of admin we have - people who either do not know the safety rules, or are too scared to tell the Prime Minister!
Cheers!

Re: our PM
My take ->
1. PM Modi screwed (narrowed) his eyes as he was trying to focus. Or he did shut his non shooting eye. Obviously he's not wearing shooting glasses with blinders. I screw my eyes to get better focus at times and also shut my non-shooting eye from time to time. And the PM is not a competitive shooter; I am.
2. The photo is at an angle - the photographer is certainly not in line of fire - not even with a remote chance of slight radial shifting of the gun. Possibility of a zoom in photo while the photographer is standing 3-4 lanes away and quite possibly on the right side of the line with an arm out-stretched to get that angle.

Re: our PM
Yup I hope so too. His govt did set aside INR100cr in the budget - especially for specialised training sessions of select sports, including shooting, at the recently conducted CWG. Let us all hope for the best. regs, A.kasimpatel wrote:Lets hope he can do something for indian shooters
