My membership expired a awhile back! Have not renewed it again. 
Quite a few people from overseas especially, Britain, Canada and Australia were members of the American NRA. A lot of them would attend the OGCA and other gunshows as well as the Shotshow yearly!
My opinion is that the Americans influence quite abit of the worlds policy. Whether their gun laws will have a direct bearing on ours is questionable. Be that as it may, any support to fellow self defense advocates/gun enthusiasts, no matter which nation they belong to should be welcome.

FYI The NRA is registered with the UN as a Non Governmental Organization
Several years ago the Brazilians asked for Help from the NRA to defeat a proposal to ban guns
The Pro gunners were the underdogs and looked like a sure looser until they got help from the NRA

Today, from the various internet sites, it seems that the Anti 2A people want to incite a civil war.
The leftist media and Anti 2A people talk of violence against gun owners. They should be very careful
of what they say, it may come back and bite them in the butt.
