Sorry but I still don't get it.

If the government want to improve their revenue, they can increase the license fee for new application and renewals.
But how stamp duty comes in to picture for an arms license.

Correct me if I am wrong, for so many things we have to take license including arms. But why someone will pay stamp duty to take any kind of license ?

I would suggest the OP to reconfirm it and reply back. These type of hear say just make others life difficult.

No offence to anyone, but I don't find any logic here.

Regards.

Akali Govt. in Punjab is very capable of such "deeds".

They are wasting State money on "Kabadi" tournaments. To fill the empty coffers they are imposing all sorts of taxes/retrospective taxation. Punjab is reeling under a blood sucking Govt.

Their own party men have gone berserk & shooting at innocent citizens mercilessly. Jalandhar Akali Councillor(nephew of Akali MP), Amritsar incident- Akali General Sect. shooting at Police ASI & countless other incidents.

Correct me if I am wrong,
stamp duties are usually paid for legal documents, isn't it?
So what kind of legal document did you excute with them, was it an undertaking, affidavite or anything else ?

Please let us know.

sir,
no legal document.
The 2 pieces of Rs.1000 stamp paper were asked and then submitted for issue of license, I think OC cancelled it by a cross line.

Very bad,
did you buy , the stamp paper in your name. and put your signatures also on the blank stamp paper, if that was asked by the OC.

Please dont take me wrong here, have you done that, getting 2 , 1000rs stamp papers as the OC , asks you then put your signature on it. Then hope OC cancellels it.

Once again, please dont get me wrong, WHO is an OC.

Regards.

Sir,
Yes, it is a norm to produce Rs.2000 stamp papers in UP. I have to buy in my name, but no signatures.... It was cancelled in front of me.

Then pay Rs. 1500 for non existent rifle club.

Cheers....
