So,

Since now ppl having airguns needs to require license. Now the questions are:

- Whether airgun will be counted for the purpose of no of firearm a citizen can posses?
- Whether All India Validity etc will be applicable?
- Whether 25 GOLI quota will be applicable?
- Whether cops can ask for spent ammo?

The judge who has delivered judgement is a learned judge except the case was not placed before him well. Respondents are not to be blamed. Mr. Panjwani is a very able lawyer. We need a united front.

Rgds,
Biren

Awful.

Another one bites the dust.... in no time they will actually require us to have a license to talk about guns.

Our country is going.

all the lawyers judges mla's mp's have not all but amajority hold pb lic.npbs are for the generalpublic.poor kids who and athletes who won most madals in the commonwealth games were our airgun shooters.i have never heard some one breaking the law with air projectiles there is already a law which wants to be amended about the import of firearms it not even a law as yet only a notification.and now this airgun rambling in the court;i think some lawyer may have been shown the duty door by the customs and now the fraternity wants a law.very well done want more gold in the olympics our only hope goes to another ditch. but who cares in this country where no law is able to even protect its citizens from games.satta is almost legal icc recomends making money has no limits poor airgunners are they really going to be targetted by mere artistic law expression? idont think this should be seriously cosidered by the court. animal rights activists have they ever thought abought the plight of the donkeys pulling wieght beyond thier limits in our society have anybody taken an issue with the court bannig misuse of stray bulls and the horses in the tongas and khachhar rehras cotinously flogged i dont think they have escaped the eyes of menaka gandhi or the law makers.are the citizens taken into confidence before making the law;never. it is aquestion the haves and the have nots.lawyers and judges make thier own words twist and lo .more birds die of pollution than projectiles.

The only option now would now be to challange the judgement in a higher court.

Request Seniors to guide us in the right direction...initiate steps - so that we can begin to immediately challenge this judgment...

Manekaji in my town we fear dogs more than terrorist, they have become a big menace and cannot be controlled.
Please spare some time for your son he may destroy India the way Taliban destroyed Pak.
Presently i live in Dubai, own 3 airguns and at weekends go to desert for target shooting, very unfortunate that now i may need a license for something that a foreign nation never asked me. :x

It is not always necessary to challenge this judgment if bigger issues(root cause of the problem) on which this judgment is based is challenged successfully. Unless we fight that RKBA is a fundamental right guaranteed by our Constitution and Arms Act is violating this right, nothing much came be expected except being at mercy of the whims of judges and some prejudiced people. If you refer my previous post(especially the link) in this thread I have already given my opinion regarding this.

Sir, i have four National air rifles and an air pistol. What am i supposed to do with all of them? What will be their fate? pl enlighten me. This is one of the worst days of my life!
Next they will formulate laws to chop off the trigger fingers of all people capable of using a firearm! Will assist in bringing down crime in a big way!
