@ Marksman ..Will try to put it in simple terms here : Dieseling is when the air rifle gives off smoke and some unburnt residue smell after a shot. Generally seen in new guns where the barrels is not clean(still has some grease and other preservative stuff).The smoke and burning smell are nothing but these barrel residues burning (barrel heats up after the shot).Dieseling makes the pellets go faster and there is shot to shot variability of pellet velocity,all this will compromise the accuracy.However this will stop after the first tin of pellets(breaking in period). Something similar is also seen in old Air rifles when there has been generous use of gunoil .Lighter than recommended pellets or Dry fire is a factor as well. Hope it helps..

Hi mack the knife n pk jeetesh.

An suhail frm raichur Karnataka n came ti a halt seeing ur posts friends. Am willing to buy a cfx royal .177 n cant stop to ask ur opinion abt this gun. Plz help. Am getting it for 45000 with a new scope of dont know power may be 3-9×40 . need to know every considerable aspect regarding..
