Hi,

Please suggest a good Gunsmith in Mumbai to fix my Gamo Whisper .177 caliber springer.
The problem is it is not cooking and also when it used to, sometimes it would misfire while loading.
Please help.
Regards,
Deepak

Seems like the trigger sear is not engaging properly. Should be a simple fix, google Gamo trigger adjustment, you should be able to do it on your own with basic tools.

I found the following link which describes how you can increase or decrease the trigger pull. From what you describe, it seems you would need to INCREASE the trigger pull.

http://goneoutdoors.com/adjust-trigger- ... 82309.html
Air rifles afford the serious shooter the opportunity to practice without the noise or cost of conventional rifles. Gamo air rifles are becoming increasingly popular with American shooters due to their blend of affordability and quality. A significant advantage of a Gamo air rifle is its adjustable trigger pull. The rifle is fitted with Gamo's standard two-stage adjustable trigger unit, which can easily be adjusted by manipulating the slotted screw directly behind the trigger.

Cock your Gamo air rifle (without loading it), point the muzzle in a safe direction, and test fire it. Assess the current trigger pull based on your test fire. If the pull is too heavy plan on decreasing it; if too light plan on increasing it.

Insert a small flat-head screwdriver through the hole at the rear of the trigger guard and access the adjustment screw located directly behind the trigger.

Increase the trigger pull by turning the adjustment screw in a counter clockwise direction
or decrease the trigger pull by turning the adjustment screw in a clockwise direction.

Fire the air rifle again to test the new trigger pull setting.

Repeat this procedure until you are satisfied with the amount of trigger pull.

Items you will need

Gamo air rifle
Small flat-head blade screwdriver

Well .... the trigger do sent seem to be a problem as of now since the gun isn't cocking.
Will need to show it to a specialist. Will try Bombay Gun house tomorrow.

I managed to figure out where the problem is. It is this tiny horseshoe look alike kinda part which acts as a lock was missing. With makeshift arrangements, I've got the gun to work. Any idea where I could get one?
