Reworking with stock( IverJohnson SXS, Hercules grade)

I own a iverjohnson SxS shot gun, breech load.. there is rattling in the stock... is there any chance tat i can rework the original stock or should i fit a new one?? Any good gunsmiths to refer in tamilnadu???

Hi, posting pics would really get the ball rolling. It would give a clear picture of what is the problem and can it be mendable or needs replacement. Keeping the orignal stock really ads to the value of the shot gun, but if the stock is beyond repair it is advisable to get it done from a professional gunsmith (not a corner carpenter).
I dont know about tamilnadu but you might find one in hyderabad for sure.

"rattling in the stock" is really not very concise information. Is the stock loose, or does something rattle when you shake the gun? We need better info, in order to be of help.
