I come to know that Purchasing and store gun powder in higher qty required a lot of paper work. I am not sure it's true or not but One person inform that keeping gun powder as store material also require explosive license, clearance from fire dept. Gun shops can keep and sell gun powder and P. caps. Separate permission is not required.
Vineet- is this limited to BP and percussion caps or smokeless
Powder and Large/small rifle primers too?

My shop license says that I can keep/ sell: Gun powder 50 kg, P. Caps 20,000.
It doesn't describe gun powder as Black Powder or smokeless. Same for P. Caps, it's not described

From last two years, no import license (for cartridges) have been granted to dealers by the government. Will let you know if it will be possible in near future.

Thanks brother. We will take the whole quantity of 50 kg divided between arms license holder friends. Try for small and large pistol primers too.

Why no import license has been granted?
