I got my 12 bore licence just before the new Arms Act 2016 came into place. As such I was allowed only 50 cartridges a year and 25 at a time. Now I would like to increase it to 100/200 yearly and atleast 50 at a time. I am a member of 2 Rifle Clubs in West Bengal. Please suggest how can I do the same without any hassles.

Asif Ji, 100/200 means 100 at one time and 200 for the whole year. I see that you are a member of a rifle club. Ask the Secretary of your club for a certificate regarding your membership details. Attach it with your application to the DM to increase your ammo quota. Club members are entitled for 200/500 shotgun cartridges quota.See Page 25-27 of arms rules 2016. But do it after the elections only,as your application may get misplaced during this time.I hope this helps.
