Can I import rifle scope from online shopping to India,
Any one please guide me.

Gun sights and rifle scopes are under the restricted category for import. So you have a 50-50 chance of your consignment being confiscated and you being issued a show cause by postal customs.

Four months ago my Rifle-scope and a leaser sight got seized by customs officer's in Kolkata never ever import them from foreign countries it is restricted in India. you can buy them in India from online as per my knowledge

Yes, I got my Red dot sight from them through India Post. Faced no issues.

As mundaire quoted , its aubject to confiscations by customs and eventually a show cause notice being issued to you.
Since a scope is easily available it is suggested you buy from local market or else if you are adamant to get a better quality foreign made then you can ask some one to send it to you as a gift along with some other item addressed to you as a gift.
Either it will be confiscated or delivered.But since you have not paid a consideration in form of money so you have not bought or imported it by yourself paying from your card. You will have something to say in reply if a show cause notice is issued.

Hi guys,
I purchased a Nikon P-223 3x32 Matte BDC Carbine from Amazon on 11 Aug 2017. I contacted Nikon India about the Scope rings which can fit perfectly on my scope, they told me Nikon India do not deal in Riflescopes. Amazon told me that the scope was imported. And this scope was also over priced, I got it for ₹19,013 but it is priced for $149.95 (₹9535) on official website of Nikon (
www.nikonsportoptics.com).
I experienced no problem in getting this scope, I just ordered it and got it after a month.
It is a fine scope with great quality. It is designed for .223 Remington or 5.56 NATO, but it is well suited for .22 LR.
