Shaktiman Express 4.8 is a best option

Left barrel is broader and powerful while right barrel is narrow although both r capable of firing 70mm amno.

Added in 2 minutes 36 seconds:
Astram 34 gms and shaktiman rifles slug are the deadliest combination and is good againist armed group if u r in defensive mode even more powerful than other combination

Go for shaktiman 4.8.

Keeping in mind the limited choice we have available in India,
I would personally prefer 4.8 mm for self defence followed by BB.
(Shaktiman manufactures good quality of both 4.8 and BB).
Normally when shooting in self defence,
Firing from the left or right barrel won't be a matter of choice.
Generally self defence is in close quarters and
In the heat of the moment/battle, instincts take over.
Going by my personal experience, what you are up against, is a factor.
Self defence would normally involve taking on at least 3-4 armed miscreants.
If you are defending against burglary or a sudden attack,
I would always rely on a hand gun (Pistol/Revolver).
It is easier to manoeuvre and can fire rounds in quick secession.
However, I know a gentleman,
Who held back an mob of 60-70 armed (without firearms)men,
With a 12 Bore Double Barrel Gun.
Having said all this,
A Pump Action Shotgun would be ideal for self defence.
(This was earlier not available to civilians in India).
It offers both manoeuvrability and rapid fire.

Slug is not recommended for self/home defence because the main advantage of a shotgun over other weapons is that it can fire multiple projectiles which increases your chances to hit the target with one shot. If you use a slug in self defence then you are giving away this benefit. Also keep in mind that although a shotgun firing multiple projectiles will produce a spread much larger than a solid projectile, it does not preclude the need to aim.

for me using slug not big problem because i have practice more then 50 000 shot ipsc methodic

Thanks ,so 4.8 & BB seem to be the best choices

astram magna and shaktimann 4.8 is good but spherical ball of shaktiman have taken lead the best ever .4.8 have bettter powder and good up to 30 meters. Astram is ver very powerful and its sound is close to rifle.

Depends on the situation .. if attacked by a mob 4.8 would be an apt choice .. if its a break in then probably a slug
