Re: Price of pistol ammo in India?
Approximate (official) civilian retail price of ammunition made by Indian Ordnance Factory Board (IOFB) for some popular handgun calibres in India:
.22 LR/ per round - ₹ 24 (approx price including 18% GST) approx ₽ 21.12
.32 S&W Long/ per round - ₹ 50 (approx price including 18% GST) approx ₽44.00
.32 ACP/ per round - ₹ 74 (approx price including 18% GST) approx ₽ 65.12
Actual retail price may be higher, depending on whether or not a particular calibre is in short supply at that time.
Prices remain the same, irrespective of the quantity purchased.
Typical ammunition quota limits for (most) arms license holders is 25/50 i.e. max 25 can be bought at any one time with a total limit of 50 for the calendar year.
In the new Arms Rules 2016, this has been raised to 100/ 200, but this does not apply automatically. The arms license holder still needs to apply with the licensing authority to have his/ her current limit raised appropriately.

On page 145 of the Arms Act 2016, the quota mentioned is 100 and 200 but it is for breech loading gun. Is it the same for a pistol as well.
Did you quote the same in your apllication?
Kindly let me know so I can follow the procedure.
