Nice arrows. Is the bow a composite one?

Nice work there...

Have you fixed the feathers after splitting the cane shaft or are they stuck on ?

The bow looks nice and powerful too...

Hi
It is a recurve composite and draws 50 #@29 inches. It is a composite of wood and fibreglass, the procedure for making these is on a form in which the materials are glued and clamped and cured at 180*temp for 8 hours, then the bow is shaped to profile.I already have another one planned and will have it done soon. The arrows are glued on the cane and have selfnocks, those are my hunting arrows for this year.

Bamboo is one of the best materials for bow making,I would love tomake some Bamboo and mulberry bows but bamboo is hard to find here and very expensive, you could make a really good bow using mulberry for the core and bamboo for the back and tempered bamboo for the belly.if you have any pictures of the bow your dad made,I would like to see it and if you have any pictures of bows from the meusems I would love to see them.
