Finally I caught a hold of the slacker that my neighborhood blacksmith is and literally sat on his head till he finished the piece I and Olly were looking to get done. Its raw and scruffy now,but I plan to put in a few weekends of work on it to bring it up to acceptable levels. I have worked up the edge a bit, need to get a bit more grinding done, lets see how this turns out.
Apologies for the grainy webcam pic.

So it wasn't a bad idea after all.... it did catch the attention of some steel tempered gents here.. !
I guess that it would need thorough grinding.. the kind that the welding walas do after they've made grills and the stuff.... thereafter some fine edging which I don't know where it can be done and thereafter some fine polishing or chroming to bring in the lusture...
Sunday it is then....
