DIY Knifemaking: Renditions of Buck Kalinga and Vanguard.

Post by astronomy.domaine » Wed Aug 12, 2015 6:05 am

Hi all,
Here are the diy renditions of two Buck knives that i find really intresting.
Please have a look!

1. Buck Kalinga: just love the blade lines on this curved skinner and hunter. I have kept the blade shape as is, but given it a longish textured plain micarta handle without bolsters.

2. Buck Vanguard: i really like the no frills functionality of this scandi type hunting blade. I have tweaked the blade shape a bit and included a solid steel guard cum bolster with a shaped single piece wood handle.

Awesome profiles AD :D
Yes, the extension of the micarta handle is quite innovative.
And of course the finishing of the blades look classy!
Keep them coming.....
