Check street vendors in Chennai itself, as long as you want something for kicks. I remember haggling for a locally made folder, somewhere near Pondy Bazaar, but that was in 1999.

If you find any, please post the location here! :)

Cheers!

Get a spyderco trainer, don't go for cheap stuff as tolerance of the knife components is imp factor in flipping.

There is a Cold Steel Balisong available at a South Delhi Mall... can't vouch for the authenticity but does deserve a dekko...

He's asking for 6K... the blade is about 4-5 inches and looks robust...

I couldn't enquire more, other than glance at it and ask the price, due to the 'Valentine's Pressure' on my arm and a strong rebuke... (had gone there on the 14th...) :P

Authenticity is a big problem for Cold Steel, since many Chinese manufacturers sell exact replica's at half the prices on alibaba, and aliexpress. If it is genuine, I suspect it is the Grivory/black handle one (the rightmost on this URL). The best option is to get it from knifecenter, else you shall always live with the fear of owning a fake!

Found a few at dollars and pounds Adyar... They were in the range of ₹600 and above... But do check their fit and finish before buying one... You can also find one on Flipkart...

Balisong? Aren't those popular in the Philippines? A Filipino friend gave me one a few years ago.
